FEELING LEFT OUT?

Hello friends and followers, it’s so nice to have you back; thanks for sticking around my content despite the fact that it’s been a while i posted. So many things have been happening to your girl; a whole lot that time may not permit me to explain but trust me it is a pleasure to be back.

First things first, happy new year to you all; i celebrate you all today as we look forward to achieving great things this year. I know the past year has been both eventful and uneventful; no thanks to covid, i imagined what we all had to go through when the whole world literarily came to a standstill.

Incase you’ve lost a friend, colleague or family member in the cause of this battle with covid, accept my deepest condolences; even as we all look forward to overcoming this, we believe this too shall pass.

It’s a new year and as usual, every new year comes with its expectations, resolutions, goals and dreams; i expect that individually each of us have expectation, goals we aim to pursue or even a dream we want to bring to fruition.

As a matter of fact, dreams and goals are very much achievable, it only takes planning, effort, commitment and a positive mindset. But what happens if it just isn’t happening no matter how much one tries.

Permit me to use myself as a perfect example, towards the end of 2019, in my usual tradition, i do an overall evaluation of the year, consider the events and check out my achievements, jot down the things i got right without forgetting my mistakes. Then of course think of ways to improve on those mistakes and setbacks and definitely set my eyes on some new goals and hurdles that must be overcome.

As i write now, i can only conclude that it’s in human nature to plan and even go a step further to work towards bringing those plans to reality but most times, we seem to forget that God and nature has a part to play.

The major goal that i set for the year 2020 was to make my first million at most before the middle of the year, trust me when i tell you that i had mapped out everything, did my research and all. The thought of starting was so exhilarating , I knew it will happen as a result of my never failing strategies and i had already conditioned my mind that no matter what i am stepping into the millionaires club.

Boom, in comes covid and then everything went mute; lock-down was effected and right before my eyes, i saw my millionaire dream slipping away and as heart-breaking as that was, there was absolutely nothing i could do.

In the midst of the lock-down and during post lock-down; i know some folks who experienced a major turn around in their finances. Did i feel disappointed? Of course i was. Did i feel like i didn’t work towards achieving that goal as much as they did? You can bet on it. Have i given up on that dream? HELL NO…. This is a new year and that dream must be achieved.

You are probably wondering why i’m sharing this?

Sometimes, it feels as though we have been left behind, you can’t just fathom why things are working for others but not for you. You just can’t understand why some folks seem to get thing on a platter of gold but you just can’t no matter how hard you try…..yea yea, i am a testifier.

It’s okay to think about what would have been, it’s fine to feel disappointed once in a while but it’s totally wrong to gloat over your misfortune. You do yourself a lot of injustice by thinking you are a failure or that you didn’t do as much as the next person; some things just happen for reasons you can’t explain.

Everyday is an opportunity to be better than the previous day; this year is another opportunity handed to you to be and do better. Will it be a smooth ride? Hell no. Will it be free of challenges or setbacks? Of course not. Can you always get it right at the first trial? Possible but not guaranteed.I know there are times you feel some negative forces are against you…..No friend, it’s all a thing of the mind.

It’s paramount to note that in the cause of working towards a goal, unforeseen circumstances, challenges, disappointment and setbacks are some part of the package but a winning attitude and a positive mindset is what makes a huge difference.

Got that long-term goal that seems unachievable no matter how hard you try? Have you given up on that dream you believe in? Do you feel left out? Do you feel the odds are not in your favor?

“Like success, failure is many things to many people. With positive mental attitude, failure is a learning experience, a rung on the ladder, and a plateau at which to get your thoughts in order to prepare to try again.”
– W. Clement Stone

The greatest mistake you can make is to give up on that goal/dream of yours, no one said it was going to be a smooth ride, no one promised it was going to be handed to you on a platter of God. Disappointments and setbacks are some events that make living interesting because it keeps everyone on their toes. Embrace them and work towards overcoming them

In conclusion, if for any reason you feel it’s not just happening ,maybe it’s time to map out a new strategy, follow a different route that will still eventually lead you back to the first goal; more like killing two birds with a stone.

“No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.”

Here’s to a great week……Be Inspired
